2 950,00$Prix
- Original 1940s, first edition, British Rail lithographic poster in colors and backed onto linen by artist Norman Wilkinson. This striking poster print was created as a travel advertisement and would have hung in a British rail station to generate foreign tourism. Highly collected, this print was published by W.S. Cowell of London for the travel association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (tourist division of the British tourist and holiday board). Additional text includes: "Travel Association of the U.K, of GT Britain & N. Ireland" in emblem. This bright, vivid poster is a painting of two men fishing by the river, presumably in the Scottish Highlands.
